Collaborative Language Learning and Teaching (Cambridge Language Teaching Library) ReviewFor those who are interested in the application of collaborative language learning, David Nunan has collected a number of articles which cover this topic in great detail. This book is focused on the theory and research into collaborative language learning, so if you're looking for a book on collaborative language learning activities, this is not it. One interesting point about this book that isn't covered much in other books is that about half of it deals with collaborative teaching (team teaching). If you're interested in the field of collaborative teaching, then this is a must. If you're not interested in team teaching, then only about half of this book will be of interest to you.Collaborative Language Learning and Teaching (Cambridge Language Teaching Library) OverviewCollaborative Language Learning and Teaching is written for teachers, teacher educators and researchers who are interested in experimenting with alternative ways of organising teaching and learning, and who wish to create an environment in which teachers, learners and researchers can work together and learn from one another. This wide-ranging collection of papers focuses on issues such as: The central characteristics of a collaborative approach to classroom research - Appropriate theoretical models of language and learning for informing collaborative research Appropriate research methods, tools and techniques for collaborative investigations - Classroom tasks and patterns of organisation which facilitate cooperative learning - Organisational patterns which underlie successful collaborative teaching. The classroom-oriented studies on which the collection is based provide models for readers who wish to experiment with these ideas in their own context.

Bienvenue: Glencoe French 1 (Glencoe French, Level 1) ReviewI am a student at Moscow State Pedagogical University. I study twolanguages English and French. When I graduate this University I amplanning to be a French language teacher. I have bought this bookbecause I have a friend who is a middle school student in USA. Heasked me to help him with his French over email. He also told me thatthey are using this book in class/ This was a very interesting andchallenging task for me. So once I have got the book I've startedanalyzing it. In this review I would like to share the results of myWork with... shoppers who might want to purchase this book.
TheEnglish language is used only when it is absolutely necessary. Topicalvocabulary, which is given at the beginning of each lesson, usesvisual support technique to convey the meaning of the new words andphrases. Grammar explanations are very short and clear. There are alot of oral and written and communication activities in each lessonfor students to choose from. Reading & Culture sections givestudents some pieces of information about the culture of the countrywhose language they are studying. The only minus I can see in thisbook is that there is not enough texts for reading in it. I shall notsay that this is the best textbook one can find for teaching French inmiddle schools because I do not have the latest US national curriculumfor this subject but I shall say that I personally like this book andI am pleased to know that my friend is using it in his study process.Bienvenue: Glencoe French 1 (Glencoe French, Level 1) Overview
