L'Alphabet ReviewThis book is fantastic. We bought "L'ALPHABET" and several other books so that my wife could begin to read to our young son in French. It is listed as a book for children from the ages of four to eight, but even a two year old (or younger) would enjoy the silly sentences ("Kk: Un kangourou fait du karate en kimono.") and the beautiful (and silly) illustrations that accompany them. Each page features a letter of the alphabet, a sentence in French that uses that letter several times, and an illustration. At the end of the book they translate all of the sentences as well as offer pronunciation guides for the letters of the alphabet and for French sounds. There is also a glossary of all of the words used in the book. We were looking for a book that would be instructive. We found it. We wanted a book that was interesting enough that I could enjoy and discuss the pictures with our son in English as well as my wife could in French. We found it. We wanted a book that would stimulate our child's imagination. We found it.L'Alphabet Overview
