After some significant online research, the purchase of the Collins Robert has proved to be an excellent choice. The sheer volume of translations is more than I'm used to -- and the format is pleasing, and it's, of course, very resourceful. As I look up words I can choose to dig in as much as I want, to sharpen my understanding, or not -- I read French every day, and the Collins Robert is the perfect companion. Only one minor problem, the publisher economized on the binding, which is more suited for a book half the size.
